Sculpted Sound

Sculpted Sound is a multichannel sound installation triggered by participant voices. Participants are encouraged to speak, hum, or sing to Interact with underrepresented speech allowing the listener to gain a greater understanding or feel the need to react to the sound that is being presented. Sculpted Sound utilizes a speaker array to put the listener inside of an audio-scape filled with speeches, ambisonic recordings, voices, and electronics. Voices trigger audio samples by interaction with a microphone placed in the middle of the room. In this interactive space, participants explore the representation of other individual voices in the composition of a sculptured audio-scape.
